This collection has fifteen works at this moment, which are the result of a research activity done by Toledo School of Translators.

Initially, the principal purpose of this collection is to portray an ample space of diffusion and publication of those works related with the theoretical basis of Translation. The main interest was focus on the combination of AR-SP, although it has been increasing its attention to all those works that provide both students and professionals of Translation with useful tools to study and practice this profession.

Apart from its importance in economy and arts, the medieval Islamic coins were important means of expression of religious and political ideologies in those States that promoted them. During the second half of the 12th and 13rd Century, the Almohad dynasty’s Empire reached the Magreb and great part of the Iberian Peninsula. One of the most significant ways of “narrated translation” is “fictitious translation”, which is basically the way in which an author pretends his work or half of it to be a translation of another author’s work, originally written in a foreign language. The present study describes and analyses the history of this traditional artifice, starting with Don Quixote and its origins in Calvary novels, followed by Manuscrit trouvé á Saragosse by Jean Potocki and few novels from the 20th Century, such as Die Gelehrtenrepublik, by Arno Schimdt, and Se una notte d’inverno un viaggiatore, by Italo Calvino.
