“This document is a programme of an EMI conference that took place a few months ago at the UPV. There was a paper (“Neurosensory Stimulation: Helping EMI Teachers to Improve Speaking and Listening”) by Cristina Perez Guillot and Hernán Cerna which focused on improving the speaking competence of EMI teachers. It would be interesting to get the talk or the article if it was published later.”

“From page 75 onwards, an example lesson plan and materials are shown, based on the discipline of chemistry, where listening strategies are applied to understand lectures, both in class and in lectures. It seems to be more focused on students, but teachers could use the expressions in handout #2 and 4.”

“In this volume there is a chapter which is interesting for our purpose (“Preparing lecturers for English-medium instruction”). It talks about 9 Master Classes of “Spoken English for Lecturers”.”

“Although it is a book for teaching spoken English and not for “teaching in English”, looking at the sections of the table of contents shows that it can be interesting for EMI methodology.”
