RESUME

I received the M. Sc. degree in Telecommunications from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Spain, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Signal Processing from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain, in 2006. Since 1999 I has been a lecturer at the Electronic Engineering Department of the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, developing my teaching responsibilities at the Cuenca Polytechnic School. I have taught several subjects related to Electronic and Biomedical Instrumentation, Analog Systems and Telecomunications Infraestructure and I have been the author of several academic publications in these areas.

From 2004 to 2012, I assumed the position of Academic Director as deputy to the Vice Chancellor of the Campus of Cuenca. From 2012 to 2016, I assumed the position of Director of the Cuenca Polytechnic School. In 2009 , I was appointed national training coordinator of the SpanishSociety of Electromedicine and Clinical Engineering, actively participating in the attainment of profesional qualifications and certificates related to the field of electromedicine. In 2014, I was appointed member of the panel of experts of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports in Spain for the update of profesional qualifications and the development of a Higher Degree Training Course in electromedicine. In 2018, I was appointed member of the panel of experts of the Ministry of Labor in Spain for the revision and update of a profesional certificates, «Management and supervision of installation and maintenance of electromedicine systems» and «Installation and maintenance of electromedicine systems».

My research interests include statistical and non-linear signal processing applied to biomedical signals, specially focused in cardiac signals and the develop of clinical applications to study and characterize the atrial activity inside the challenging problem of supraventricular arrhythmias.
