Target: Undergaduates, postgraduates, researchers, Master students, professionals in the language industries

Language: Presentations will be in Spanish or in English.

Aims: These three summer schools (18 hours each) have got a mainly divulgative nature. They will focus on different topics related to the general Jean Monnet Chair topics (i.e. European multilingualism, emotions, identities, intercultural dialogue and linguistic rights and their role in a constantly changing European society). We will pay special attention to the role of minority languages, as well to the languages brought to Europe by immigrants. The provisional titles and syllabuses for these three summer schools are:

• Summer 2020: European Multilingualism and Language Education.

• Summer 2021: European Languages, Emotions and Identities.

• Summer 2022: Language Industries in the EU context.

Each course will include both theoretical classes and practical workshops. A central topic of discussion throughout these summer courses will be the re-conceptualization of European multiculturality and multilingualism. Invited lecturers will be asked to participate in each summer course.
