The Earth Surface Processes Team of the CESAM (University of Aveiro) is looking for a candidate with an MSc degree to work in the FEMME project: Development of a post-fire erosion risk modelling tool for forest management decision support, in particular, the application of emergency stabilization measures.
The tasks include the compilation and management of databases for future application in erosion and hydrological models; the adaption of several hydrological models (RUSLE, MMF, PESERA) to post-fire environments, followed by their calibration and validation with field data and previous studies.
Application is open from the 09/09/2019 until the 20/09/2019. The scholarship will have an initial duration of 9 months, starting in December 2019, that can be renewed up to 2 years.
