Completing the Master\u2019s Degree in Data Science and Business Intelligence at the University of Castilla-La Mancha was a turning point in my professional career. The programme provided me with a solid foundation in advanced analytics with R, statistical modelling, and business intelligence project management \u2014 skills that I now apply directly in international projects funded by multilateral development banks such as the African Development Bank, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Asian Development Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Master\u2019s thesis, focused on the construction of composite indicators, has had a direct application in my current work, including the development of performance indices for regulatory agencies and power utilities across Africa. The knowledge and methods acquired have also proven essential in other projects: the National Energy Poverty Observatory in Brazil, climate impact simulations for the power system of the Solomon Islands, energy optimisation for Georgia\u2019s national water company, circular economy assessments of plastic waste management in Indonesia and Vietnam, the design of a performance monitoring dashboard for regulated power utilities in Senegal, and smart-meter data analytics in Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Master\u2019s programme helped me to truly understand the transformative potential of data science \u2014 turning information into actionable knowledge and contributing to sustainable development worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
