Food and Culture Translation

2nd International Conference “Food and Culture Translation” (FaCT 2016) organized by the Università degli Studi di Catania (Sicily) and held the days 19th-21st May 2016

We participated in the special session on Food and Beverage Terminology with two presentations: Rosario Caballero & Carita Paradis presented “From the glass through the nose and the mouth: Motion in the description of sensory data about wine in English and Spanish”, and Ernesto Suarez-Toste presented “Babel of the senses: Embodiment, synaesthesia, and wine language”.  The abstracts are available here. Of course, we also found time to taste the local wines. This is us in the wine bar Etna Rosso 🙂
