Associate Professor at the Department of Geography and Spatial Planning<\/strong> at the Faculty of Education, University of Castilla-La Mancha. National Award from the Spanish Geography Association (2021) <\/strong>for Geographic Innovation in Higher Education<\/a> for the project \u00a1Nosotros Proponemos!<\/em>. Entrepreneurial Alumni Award from UCLM<\/a> (2022).<\/strong><\/p>\n

She holds a Ph.D. in Geography<\/strong>, a Master\u2019s in Territorial Planning, Environment, Landscape, and Sustainability<\/strong>, and a Specialist Degree in Urban Law of Castilla-La Mancha<\/strong>. Her doctoral thesis was titled Urban Transformations of Ciudad Real 1980-2008<\/em>.<\/p>\n

She has been a visiting professor at European and American universities<\/strong>. She worked in the United States<\/strong> at Michigan State University (2017)<\/strong> with the prestigious FULBRIGHT scholarship<\/strong>.<\/a> She has also conducted research stays<\/strong> at King\u2019s College London (2012), the University of Lisbon (2014, 2016, and 2019), and Cologne (2013)<\/strong>, as well as at Ibero-American universities<\/strong> such as the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (2016)<\/strong> and the National Autonomous University of Mexico (2021).<\/strong> She has led development cooperation projects in Ibero-America<\/strong>, specifically in El Salvador<\/strong> and Bogot\u00e1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She has participated in and led various European KA220-HED projects<\/strong>, including VGloba<\/a>l<\/strong> and V-GeoSciEd<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n

Her three major research areas in geography<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n

  1. Educational Innovation<\/strong>, focusing on citizen participation, critical thinking, and the use of inclusive virtual field trips (Virtual Field Trips) to develop educational itineraries in protected areas.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Urban Planning in Medium-Sized Cities.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Current and Historical Geodemographics<\/strong>, particularly related to the Cadastre of the Marquis of Ensenada.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
