We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher from Ukraine who wishes to apply for a grant-contract specific for Ukraine refugees that is opened in the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) ( https://www.uclm.es/es/global/promotores/organos-de-gobierno/vicerrectorado-de-investigacion-y-politica-cientifica/convocatorias-ppropio/pp-2022/ucrania ). A Ph. D or background in Physics, Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. The candidate would join the Nanotechnology and Materials group at the UCLM, in Almadén.
The main research lines of the group are the following:
– Study of nanocomposite films and coatings capable of protecting against viruses, microbes, and bacteria, and of releasing drugs (previously incorporated into the films) in a controlled manner . Advanced Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
– Study of piezoelectric and triboelectric energy harvesting nanogenerators (made from nanocomposite films) capable of producing useful electrical energy (e.g. for nanosensors or nanodevices) from unused mechanical or frictional energy . Advanced Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).

SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THE OPENNING
Requirements for the candidates:
1- To have Ukrainian nationality
2- Hold a doctorate degree.
3- Be in a position to apply for international protection.
Five contracts will be awarded for the incorporation of PhDs with a solid scientific background.
scientific trajectory, which will be aimed mainly at carrying out research tasks in order to strengthen the scientific-technical potential of UCLM research groups.
The full-time contracts shall be for a period of one year, renewable on the basis of need and budget availability. The contracting will be carried out by means of a fixed-term contract under the terms of the DA 5ª RDL 32/202 (Spanish regulation law).
The individual amount of each contract is 37,937.39 € per year spread over 14 monthly payments. Almadén is a little village in Castilla-La Mancha, in which life is peaceful and quite cheap.
The application will have to be fulfill electronically, and the following docs will be needed:
a. Photocopy of passport.
b. Certified photocopy of the doctorate degree title or academic certification with an specific indication of the date of obtaining the doctoral degree, if available. If the title is not available, a sworn statement (affidavit) should be provided, confirming that you are in possession of your doctoral degree, your speciality and the university or institution where you were working before.
c. Proof of refugee status, with the endorsement of the centre or department of the host UCLM.
Applications may be submitted from the day following the day following publication in the Diario Oficial de Castilla-La Mancha and until the budget for the call for proposals is exhausted.
The decisions will be issued in the order in which the applications are submitted, once the fulfillment of the requirements are checked, and until the budget credit allocated in the call for applications has been exhausted.
