{"id":1638,"date":"2022-01-27T07:17:04","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T06:17:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.uclm.es\/grupogear\/?p=1638"},"modified":"2022-01-27T07:17:04","modified_gmt":"2022-01-27T06:17:04","slug":"new-publication-in-science-of-the-total-environment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.uclm.es\/grupogear\/2022\/01\/27\/new-publication-in-science-of-the-total-environment\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW PUBLICATION IN SCIENCE OF THE TOTAL ENVIRONMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Science Network RED MENTES has recently published a joint contribution entitled \u201cEnergy-socio-economic-environmental modelling for the EU energy and post-COVID-19 transitions\u201d in the journal Science of the Total Environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The paper argues how recovery plans are an opportunity to deepen the way towards a low-carbon economy, improving at the same time employment, health, and equity and the role of modelling tools. It is based on contributions from many network members and tries to justify how multidisciplinary modeling is key to the successful development of the energy transition. Policies must be focused on both short-term and long-term goals, and the assessment of the social impacts of the energy transition must be highlighted.
