Our research group is focused on neuro-oncology (specifically glioblastoma multiforme) and neurodegeneration (Alzheimer’s disease), with mitochondria and bioenergetics serving as the central themes connecting these areas of study. To investigate these pathologies, we employ various research techniques such as cell cultures, confocal and high-content microscopy, molecular biology, biochemistry, metabolomics, proteomics, MALDI MSI, and more.

The group is incorporated into the Institute of Biomedicine (IB) and the recently created Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Castilla-La Mancha (IDISCAM).
