This collection has fifteen works at this moment, which are the result of a research activity done by Toledo School of Translators.<\/p>\n

Initially, the principal purpose of this collection is to portray an ample space of diffusion and publication of those works related with the theoretical basis of Translation. The main interest was focus on the combination of AR-SP, although it has been increasing its attention to all those works that provide both students and professionals of Translation with useful tools to study and practice this profession.<\/p>\n

This work delves into the reflection on translation as mean of intellectual contact, bearing in mind the reception of the Arab-Islamic culture in Europe and its role in various traditions of Arabic and Islamic studies. This book purposes a reflection on the influence that Modern Arabic literature has had in Europe when Naguib Mahfuz won the Literature Nobel Prize in 1988. Apart from its importance in economy and arts, the medieval Islamic coins were important means of expression of religious and political ideologies in those States that promoted them. During the second half of the 12th<\/sup> and 13rd<\/sup> Century, the Almohad dynasty\u2019s Empire reached the Magreb and great part of the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, there were a lot of cultural developments under its command, including its Theocratic Legitimation discourse on which its power was based.
