We are interested in recruiting a motivated candidate for applying to a predoctoral fellowship from the Basque Governement, FPU program or La Caixa Foundation. The PhD candidate will cover an Early-Stage Research (ESR) position for developing a PhD thesis at the Department of Neuroscience (UPV\/EHU) and at the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience (ACHUCARRO). The successful candidate will use the pluripotent stem cell (ESC\/iPSC) technology to generate human neurons and astrocytes and study the contribution of human astroglia to neurodegeneration in models of Parkinson\u2019s and Alzheimer\u00b4s disease.
